Suzaine’s style is reminiscent of the “Gutai” pictorial movement. Gutai is an important Japanese avant-garde artistic movement founded in 1954. The term Gutai is a neologism formed from the characters tool and body (in Japanese) or Gu for the instrument and tai for the body. Which means that the body becomes the instrument that prints the gesture and emotions on the canvas. The action and movement of the body and particularly the arms and hands, are used to signify a kind of exaltation of the artist. This gesture attempts to convey the emotional state of the painter.
Please note that all our precious lithographs are carefully rolled, wrapped in tissue paper, and then placed in a special tube for transport so that they arrive at your home in perfect condition. The recipient’s signature upon delivery is required.
