Alaia, Azzedine Alaia in the 21st Century, Groninger Museum, Netherlands (book) by Annie Cohen-Solal, Stephanie Seymour Brant and Mark Wilson. 224 pages in English. Cardboard cover, bound in faux silver crocodile skin. 224 pages. All illustrated with full-page color photographs. Very good state.

From December 11, 2011 to May 6, 2012, the Groninger Museum will present the exhibition entitled Azzedine Alaia 2001-2011. This exhibition presents the most fantastic Alaïa fashion creations of the last ten years. Alaïa is one of the last great couturiers still in business. Her line of clothing has won acclaim from celebrities such as Naomi Campbell, Stephanie Seymour, Victoria Beckham, Shakira and Michelle Obama. The exhibition follows the preview of his work presented at the Groninger Museum in 1998, which was then presented at the Brandt Foundation in New York in 2002. Azzedine Alaïa, of Tunisian origin, is one of the fashion designers most important of the last decades. The name Alaïa is synonymous with glamour, sensuality, style, fit, confidence, comfort and, of course, sexiness. Her figure-hugging dresses hug the bodies of the world’s most seductive and successful women, from Tina Turner and Michelle Obama to Madonna.
