Amedeo Modigliani chez Bernheim-Jeune (book) by Guy-Patrice and Floriane Dauberville, 2015. Like new. Edition in French.
Modigliani is an Italian painter and sculptor attached to the Ecole de Paris.
A year after his arrival in Paris, in June 1907, the young Amedeo Modigliani discovered at Bernheim-Jeune the exhibition of watercolors by Cezanne which presented seventy-nine works. It was a pictorial shock leading to a change in his style.
Although Bernheim-Jeune did not have Modigliani under contract, they were actively involved in promoting this great artist.
The reproductions were made from glass plates from the years 1920 to 1954.
