Arman, The crossing of objects. Arman defines himself as an “object shower”. Since his childhood he has been passionate about and collects objects. He uses scraps, barely used discarded objects and reveals their poetry. Arman’s accumulations collect large quantities of identical objects melted in plexiglass.
Arman is one of the leading figures in the movement called “new realism”. His work, since the early 1950s, is dedicated to the adulation / rejection relationship of our consumer society with regard to the object. This exhibition explores the status of the object in the artist’s creation.
