The brand cemented its reputation as an industry leader in 1952 by presenting the very first men’s fashion show at the Palazzo Pitti in Florence. This groundbreaking collection became the benchmark for Roman tailoring and established the modern notion of masculine elegance.

Presented with a personal foreword by novelist Bret Easton Ellis, Brioni: Tailoring Legends celebrates the House’s exceptional heritage and the evolution of men’s style through decades of sartorial tradition, rare materials, and original photographs of archived garments.

Olivier Saillard is a renowned fashion historian. Author of several books, including Dior by Christian Dior, Saillard has also curated major exhibitions, including Yohji Yamamoto: Just Clothes; Christian Lacroix: A History of Clothing; an Azzedine Alaia retrospective; Madame Grès: Couture at Work; and the Ephemeral Museum of Fashion at the Palazzo Pitti.
