Chu Teh-Chun, 1920-2014, is a contemporary painter of Chinese origin, installed in France since 1955. Painter of the same generation as Zao Wou Ki, master of lyrical abstraction, this pictorial movement leaving free the spontaneous inspiration, he traced his personal furrow in abstract landscaping. He was a member of the Academy of Fine Arts since 1997. He was the dean of this institution after the death of Zao Wou-Ki in 2013.

This book provides an entry point into this work, which is situated at the crossroads of Western and Eastern cultures.
