From effortless forehands to red carpet glory, and everything in between, Federer tells the story of a unique life. The first visual biography of Roger Federer, created over two years in close collaboration with the tennis legend and his wife, Mirka, offers readers a comprehensive glimpse into Roger’s inner life, his personality, and his record-breaking career.
Comprised of never-before-seen photographs and memorabilia from his childhood, as well as images from Roger and Mirka’s film, the book also includes handwritten testimonies from Roger that intimately retrace his journey on and off the court.
A portion of the profits from FEDERER will be donated to the Roger Federer Foundation, which supports educational projects for children in Southern Africa and Switzerland.
Doris Henkel, the author of this work, is a sports journalist and author of books on sports. She has covered tennis for nearly forty years, including the last thirty as a freelance writer for newspapers and magazines primarily in Germany, Switzerland, and Austria. She has followed Roger Federer’s entire career and attended 30 of his 31 Grand Slam finals, as well as Olympic matches and numerous tournaments.
A man who wins is a man who thinks he can.
