A marginal and solitary figure, Gerard Gasiorowski (1930-1986), a French painter, never stopped wanting to make a living from painting, to engulf himself in it, and, at the same time, to detach himself from it. Composed of series, his work appears as so many effects of this paradox of the painter, as so many productive intensities, outside the conventions which govern the avant-garde itself.
For this series, Gerard Gasiorowski must have taken inspiration from the colorful pots transformed into works of art by Jean-Pierre Raynaud exhibited throughout France and abroad and which enjoyed great success.
