Graça Morais (1948-) is a renowned contemporary Portuguese artist. She has a space dedicated exclusively to her work at the Graça Morais Contemporary Art and Architecture Center in Braganza, Portugal.

In the 1980s, the neo-expressionists returned to figurative painting, adopting a violently emotional style and deliberately provocative iconography. For these artists, it is about asserting a subjective expression, reconnecting with the materiality and gestural nature of painting.
