Georges Soria, 1914-1991, is a French historian, journalist and playwright.
During the Spanish Civil War, he was a correspondent for L’Humanité (the official organ of the French Communist Party) in Spain. Appointed Doctor of Letters and Human Sciences “on work”, Georges Soria turned more particularly to the history of revolutions. He is responsible for books such as his Great History of the Commune (in 5 volumes, 1970), War and Revolution in Spain (in 5 volumes, 1975-1977) or The Great History of the French Revolution (in 9 volumes, 1987-1988), as well as works such as The 300 Days of the Russian Revolution or The Great USSR-USA Challenge.
