Habits de lumière (book) by Peter Muller. Publisher Assouline, Memoirs of the World Collection. 134 pages. 2004. Very good condition, some marks on the cover. French texts.

For the first time, the bullfighting maestros have agreed to wear the costume of light outside the arena. Dressed in gold or silver, they perform the magnificent gestures of the bullfighting dance and thus reveal the most artistic and most consensual aspect of the festival: the dress and the gesture. This book tells the story of the habit of light, the origins and evolution of this very ancient tradition. Espartaco, Espla, Litri, and many others, collaborated on the exceptional photographs of Peter Müller, which reveal to us the magnificent creations of the Fermin workshop, couturier for bullfighters in Madrid.

Peter Müller studied art and architecture at the University of Zurich. After a long career as a photographer in Spain, where he carried out major advertising campaigns and worked for several magazines, he decided to reflect aspects of life, art and crafts of southern Spain .

Of Franco-Spanish origin, Danièle Carbonel, Hispanic by training and by taste, was a lecturer at the University of Nice where she taught the formation of the tourist image through travel stories. This work demonstrates his interest in the most diverse aspects of bullfighting art.
