Julio Resende, the 3 women, Goa series, original signed lithograph, 1997, size: 28.74 x 21.25 inches, very good condition. Sold unframed.
Julio Resende (1917-2011) was a well-known Portuguese expressionist artist who also went through cubist phases, evolving towards the figurative and abstract as his career progressed.
This original lithograph is part of the travel diary and series of lithographs created by Júlio Resende during his trip to India in 1996. It is an album of lithographs entitled “Goa, odors and colors”, printed by the Atelier d’Art Desjobert, Paris. This album was released on the occasion of the inauguration of the Júlio Resende Foundation, in Valbom in 1997, a village near the big city of Porto in Portugal.
