Roger Labric, 1893-1962, is a French journalist, novelist and historian, specializing in aviation and car racing. Roger Labric was incorporated in September 1914. He moved to the experimental squadron of the Bréguet-Michelin group in Clermont-Ferrand. He served in Romania as a machine gun bomber in 1917 during the Berthelot Mission. Then he was assigned to the 3rd and 1st aviation group, CRP (the entrenched camp of Paris), then BR 127, in Bordeaux and Longvic as instructor in 1918. He is said to be a childhood friend and Roland’s squadron comrade Garros and friend of Jean Mermoz.
