Michel-Henry, original lithograph, signed in pencil by the artist and edited on Arches wove paper. Cannes marina, Cote d’Azur, French Riviera, France. Vellum paper’s size: 19.68 x 17.71 inches / 50 x 45 cm. Very good condition. Sold unframed.

Michel-Henry was born in 1928 in Langres in the East of France. He showed early enthusiasm for painting and enrolled at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts.

Belonging to the school of Paris, like Bernard Buffet or Jean Carzou, he distinguishes himself by the joy and the gaiety that inhabits his paintings.

A pleasure to live, to paint and to love that will make an adulated artist all over the world. He exhibited in numerous galleries on four continents and his signature is a sought-after and admired label.

Moreover, in Japan, a museum is personally dedicated to him near the city of Sapporo, an extremely rare thing for an artist during his lifetime. He was able to follow his installation in more than fifteen museums spread all over the world including the Museum of Modern Art in Paris.

Michel-Henry died in Paris, end of December 2016.
