Catalan artist Joan Miro (1893-1983). Established by Patrick Cramer, the catalogue raisonné describes all the lithographs made by the Catalan artist Joan Miró from 1972 to 1975. This volume begins with a preface by the author. The 212 titles are then catalogued as well as their reproduction in color. A chronological table completes the work.

Miró is, with Picasso and Dalí, one of the greatest Spanish artists of the 20th century. He was a bit of a Fauvist, Cubist, “detailist” and then also participated for a time in the Surrealist adventure but his work developed largely independently of any school or style. From the 1920s onwards, he replaced the representation of reality with a grammar of signs and forms that constituted a kind of poetic alphabet. An immense colorist and a great free artist, Miró was also an engraver, sculptor and ceramist.
