Established by Patrick Cramer, the catalog raisonné describes all the lithographs made by Joan Miró from 1972 to 1975. This volume begins with a preface by the author. The 212 titles are then cataloged as well as their color reproduction. A chronological table completes the work.
Joan Miró, 1893-1983, is a Catalan painter, sculptor, engraver and ceramist. Defining himself above all as “international Catalan”, he is one of the main representatives of the surrealist movement.
His work reflects his attraction for the subconscious, for the “childlike spirit” and for his country, Catalonia and Spain. In his early days, he showed strong Fauvist, Cubist and Expressionist influences, before evolving into flat painting with a certain naive side.
