Paul Guiramand, born in Saint-Quentin, France in 1926, was a leading figure of the New School of Paris. A pupil of Maurice Brianchon at the École des Beaux-Arts, he won the prestigious Prix de Rome in 1952 and resided at the Villa Medici (1953–1956/57). His poetic, evocative figurative style—blending emotion, light, and subtle abstraction—influenced by masters like Matisse and Picasso, earned him international acclaim, with major exhibitions in Paris, the US, Geneva, Tokyo, and especially strong popularity in Japan.
This rare original signed lithograph captures his signature poetic elegance in a scene of resting horse riders.
Perfect for collectors of 20th-century French art, post-war Paris School prints, or equestrian-themed artwork.
