Pierre-Paul Hueber is one of the best contemporary landscape painters. Although he opted for the radiant light of Provence, he was nostalgic for his native Alsace. His son Norbert remembers him as a jovial, discreet, intelligent and deeply human man.

In 1976, he moved to Les Baux-de-Provence to devote himself to the landscapes of the South. Three years later, he was appointed curator of the museums of Les Baux, a position he held until 1988, then he founded his own art gallery “Ribeaupierre” located in a Renaissance residence in the medieval village.

Pierre-Paul Hueber died in 2006 in Les Baux-de-Provence. He was then 77 years old.
