PUIG, 100 years of a family business (book) by Eugenia de la Torriente. Hardcover book in French, 180 pages. Publisher Assouline. 2014. Very good condition, slightly yellowed dust jacket on the edges.

Guided by passion, popularity and performance, the Puig group is a family business for three generations that operates in the field of fashion, perfumes and cosmetics at an international level, from its headquarters in Barcelona. This company was created a hundred years ago by Antonio Puig, an art lover and a regular in the artistic circles of his time.

In 1922, its first product, Milady, was released: the first lipstick to come out of Spanish factories. Launched in 1940, the Agua Lavanda perfume quickly became one of the most emblematic products of this company, all its ingredients being produced in Spain, and its success led the company to build its own factory. During the 1960s, its economic success led it to become an ultramodern multinational, signing with the revolutionary designer Paco Rabanne, opening its own research and development laboratories, and collaborating with great creators in the fields of advertising and marketing.

The brands that now benefit from Puig’s know-how are Paco Rabanne, Carolina Herrera, Jean Paul Gaultier and Nina Ricci; the perfume departments of Comme des Garçons, Prada and Valentino; the perfume collections created by celebrities such as Antonio Banderas and Shakira; in addition to those created by Adolfo Dominguez, Agatha Ruiz de la Prada and Mango. Guided by an original family vision, full of creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship, Puig has the art of transforming any company into prestigious international icons of luxury.
