About the Artist
Sachiko Imai (今井幸子), born in 1933 in Osaka, Japan, is a respected Japanese painter and lithographer. She studied under master Takayuki Tamura (田村孝之介) and later trained in Paris at the Académie de la Grande Chaumière and other institutions.

Selected early in her career for prestigious shows including the Nikikai (二紀会) exhibitions (from 1954 onward, becoming a member) and Asahi Art exhibitions, she received awards such as the Asahi Newcomer Prize. In 1971, she traveled to France for further studies and was invited to exhibit at the Salon de Mai and other French art salons.

Today, her vibrant, colorful works – often featuring elegant women, florals, and bold compositions – are regularly exhibited in Japan and France, and are cherished by international collectors.
