Salvador Dalí: The Impossible Collection, highlights 100 works of this extraordinary creative spirit, exploring the inspirations and range of influences of Dalí, from the old masters to realism, impressionism, fauvism and cubism as well as experimental approaches that have delved into his obsessions with religion, science and stereoscopy.

In the popular imagination, perhaps no other work of artist is more recognizable than that of Salvador Dalí. Indeed, for many, he is the mad artist par excellence, whose singular vision has probed without remorse his own psychological depths.

Paul Moorhouse, the author of this book is a London-based art historian and curator. Currently Managing Director of the Anthony Caro Studio, he was Senior Curator and Exhibitions Manager at the National Portrait Gallery in London (2005-17) and Senior Curator at Tate (1985-2005), where he was closely associated with the creation of Tate Modern and Tate Britain.
