Sonia Delaunay, signed lithograph (after) titled: Ellipse. 1971. Size: 29.72 x 21.85 inches. Very good condition. At bottom right, signature was made by one of the descendants and beneficiaries of Delaunay estate, the artist’s grandson: Jean-Louis Delaunay. At bottom left, is the embossing of the Delaunay Foundation. Sold unframed.
Sonia Delaunay (1885-1979) French Ukrainian artist. The couple Sonia and Robert Delaunay actively participated in the revival of modern art. Both contributed to the development of abstract art, and in particular Orphism. Their works, sometimes confused, are illustrated by their powerful colors, their movement and their light.
