Wendy Chazin is an American artist who lives and works in New York. She trained at the School of Fine Arts and Applied Arts in Boston and the School of Visual Arts in New York, then studied and painted in Provence. Her fascination for the South of France inspired her in her work. She is influenced by the style of the painter Henri Matisse and contemporary French artists who approached him.

As a music lover, the guitar is an important element in her paintings. She likes to paint still lifes and recreate a special living atmosphere. As far as the subject is concerned, often objects she incorporates are those she has kept in her memory rather than those arranged in a room or table in front of her as a model.

Beneath the layers of painting emerge the often autobiographical stories expressed by the artist. Artist’s life experiences that shaped and influenced her Art.
