About the Artist
Wendy Chazin is a New York-based American painter and printmaker. She trained at the Boston University School of Fine and Applied Arts and the School of Visual Arts in New York, before living and painting in Provence, South of France.
Deeply inspired by the light and colors of Provence, her work shows strong influence from Henri Matisse and contemporary French artists. As a passionate music lover, guitars and musical instruments frequently appear in her compositions. She creates lively still lifes that evoke a warm, intimate atmosphere — often drawing from memory and personal experiences rather than direct observation.
Beneath the colorful layers and geometric forms lie autobiographical stories reflecting the artist’s life, travels, and love for music.
