Original lithograph signed by Alain Winance, “Notre Patrimoine – L’Art de Vivre » (Our Heritage – The Art of Living): a rare print celebrating oenology, wines, gastronomy, and the terroirs of France, created for the Congress of Notaries in Lille. Against a background of ochre, terracotta, and beige textures, the artist has incorporated a stylized wine bottle with intense blue contours, accompanied by abstract bunches of grapes in overlapping blue circles, all within a composition poised between figuration and abstraction that celebrates the French art of living.

The Congress of Notaries in 2000 was entitled: Heritage in the 21st Century: Challenges and New Horizons. This explains the distinct appearance of the words “Notre Patrimoine – L’Art de Vivre” within the ochre textures of the collage on the left side of the artwork. The artist directly echoed the subject matter of the notaries’ work.

Alain Winance, a renowned Belgian painter and engraver, and honorary professor of lithography at the Beaux-Arts, displays his recognized mastery of printmaking in this work. This large lithograph 33.85 x 25.19 inches (86 x 64 cm) on high-quality vellum paper captivates with its subtle contrasts: deep dark areas, touches of electric blue, and warm gradations that evoke sun-drenched vineyards and gourmet dining. Handwritten signature by Alain Winance, dated 2000, in the lower right corner, with the official logo of the French notaries in the lower center. Condition: very good, limited commemorative edition.
