Alberto Biasi, Trame 1959 1960, Maab Gallery, 2014 (book) by Alberto Biasi, Marco Meneguzzo, Alberto Zanchetta. Book in blister. 135 Pages. Hard cover. In Italian.
In the 1960s, Alberto Biasi took part in numerous experimental initiatives. He is one of the founders, along with other artists such as Manfredo Massironi, of Group N, created in Padua in 1959 and later of the “arte programmata” movement. Leader of kinetic art in Italy, thanks to his work on visual perception and his artistic creations, he emphasizes the optical illusion and the interaction between the work and the one who look at.
His works have been the subject of numerous exhibitions internationally in museums such as the MoMa in New York, the Galleria nazionale in Rome in particular, and many museums around the world and in important public and private collections such as Peggy Guggenheim’s collection in Venice.
