Alberto Biasi – Trame 1959-1960
Catalogue published by the MAAB Gallery in 2014
New book in shrink wrap, 135 pages, hardcover, text in Italian.
In the 1960s, Alberto Biasi was one of the leading figures of kinetic art and programmatic art in Italy. Co-founder, with Manfredo Massironi, of Gruppo N in Padua in 1959, he is among the most important artists of the European kinetic art movement. His works explore visual perception, optical illusions, and the direct interaction between the artwork and the viewer.
This catalogue is entirely devoted to the emblematic Trame series (1959-1960), a foundational period in his work. A reference work for enthusiasts and collectors of kinetic art, optical art, and the Italian avant-garde of the 1960s.

MoMA (New York), Galleria Nazionale d’Arte Moderna (Rome), Peggy Guggenheim Collection (Venice), and numerous international institutions.
