David Hamilton (Book) by David Hamilton. 2006. Very Good condition, Some Traces On Cover, 332 pages. 2,500 kg. Large format: 27 x 27 x 4 cm. Publisher: La Martinière.
Known for his mastery of light, for his evanescent images and for his young girls with graceful forms, David Hamilton is undoubtedly one of the most popular photographers since the 1970s. This book presents a sensitive and romantic retrospective of the man who better than anyone else was able to capture what photography could offer him: to fix for eternity the fragility of existence. Whether portraits of young women, landscapes or still lifes of bouquets, David Hamilton’s photographs all trace a lost paradise, a time held and captured forever.
In 1971, David Hamilton found success with books such as Rêves de Jeunes Filles (Robert Laffont). Throughout his career, he has made five films and regularly participates in numerous exhibitions around the world. Michel Nuridsany was an art critic for Le Figaro for twenty years. Exhibition curator, filmmaker and writer, he is the author of numerous books on contemporary art and photography. Peter Beale has a huge art collection of over 1500 works. Both contributed to this book.
