One of the best chefs in the world, Ferran Adrià Acosta (born in 1962) ran the restaurant elBulli. Famous for his avant-garde cooking techniques, he has been applauded – and imitated – all over the world, and has won three Michelin stars for el Bulli, as well as many other distinctions. Since the closure of el Bulli in 2011, Ferran has given lectures around the world and developed the El Bulli Foundation, a culinary academy and a think tank, on the site of the old restaurant
