Albert Maumené is a journalist, he writes books on horticulture and garden art, he is also interested in popular arts and traditions and architecture. Many of his articles appear in the journal La Nature.
He founded and directed the magazines La Vie à la campagne (1906-1966), Jardins et Basses-Cours (1908-1938) and Maisons pour Tous (1925-1938).
