Images of children from around the world paying tribute to the work of Vicente Ferrer.

Vicente Ferrer, 1920-2009, is a former Spanish Jesuit priest, missionary in India and very active in the socio-educational field. He is considered in Catalonia as one of the people who contributed the most to aid for the development of the Third World. He was mainly active in India.

In 1969, he created the organization that bears his name with his wife, Anne Perry, an English journalist. This NGO is now active in many villages in the poorest districts of the state of Andhra Pradesh (south-east India). According to the website of the Vicente Ferrer Foundation, the NGO had taken charge, at the end of 2007, of the education of more than 120,000 children, helped more than 60,000 women and assisted more than 15,000 disabled people.
