Picasso’s ceramics in Vallauris (from 1947 onwards) marked a major creative period, transforming this small town of potters into a nerve center of modern art. Collaborating with the Madoura workshop, he reinvented ceramics by using utilitarian forms as a support for artistic creation (fauns, bulls, faces), producing thousands of unique pieces and limited edition series.
