Porcelaines chinoises polychromes, trois siècles de commerce sous la dynastie des Qing, 1644-1908 (book) by Daniel Nadler. Amateur editions. 2001. Hard cover, very good condition.
For many years, Daniel Nadler and his wife Serga, of Iranian origin, have been interested in polychrome Chinese export porcelain. Over the years, as their porcelain collection grew, many questions arose due to the lack of information; This deficient state of knowledge stimulated their curiosity and the result of their research led to the creation of this book. But this work has the advantage of not being just a technical sum reserved for specialists. Very historical, it also reads like the soap opera of relations between China and the West during the Qing dynasty. Alongside the study of porcelain, Daniel Nadler nurtures a passion for photography combined with a curiosity for computer tools; It is to this double interest that we owe all the reproductions of this book photographed and digitized by him.
