About the Artist
Born in Osaka in 1933, Sachiko Imai studied under master Takayuki Tamura and trained in Paris at the Académie de la Grande Chaumière and École de Garçon. A member of the prestigious Nikikai (二紀会) since the 1950s, she has exhibited extensively in Japan and France, including the Salon de Mai, and received awards such as the Asahi Newcomer Prize. Her vibrant, colorful works featuring elegant women, florals, and bold compositions are highly sought after by international collectors.
