Diego Masana i Majó with the pseudonym Dídac (1868-1939) was a Catalan sculptor of the modernism artistic movement. He studied at the School of Fine Arts in Barcelona. Modernism is characterized by a rejection of everything that relates to everyday life and, on the contrary, an incessant search for beauty and perfection of forms.

During his Catalan period, he worked for the great modernist architects, such as Lluís Domènech i Montaner, at the Palau de la Música Catalana or at the Castell de Santa Florentina. In 1912, he moved to Buenos Aires, Argentina where he sculpted the frontispiece and clock of the Banco de Castilla y Río de la Plata. In 1914 he moved to the city of Rosario, where he was appointed professor of sculpture. In Rosario he gave his name (Diego Masana) to one of the main streets of the city.

He is a Spanish sculptor whose work has hardly been preserved in Barcelona, since most of his career took place in Argentina, where he was one of the introducers of modernism and a significant figure. However, in his country of origin he left few works, but of excellent quality, especially in his relationship with Lluís Domènech i Montaner.
