Zappa in France, 1968-1988 (Book) by Christian Rose, Philippe Thieyre. 2003. Like new except for a slight crease on the back of the dust jacket. Hardcover book of 158 pages. Format 34 x 23 x 2 cm. Publisher Parallèles. French text.

Frank Vincent Zappa, born December 21, 1940 in Baltimore (Maryland) and died December 4, 1993 in Los Angeles (California), is an American composer, musician, guitarist, filmmaker, producer and satirist.

His works concern several distinct musical genres: rock, jazz and contemporary music, with a link to musique concrète.

Christian Rose has been a photographer since 1965. He published Instant de jazz (Ed. Filipacchi) and is currently preparing a new photo album, Jazz meeting (Ed. Du Layeur). His photos are regularly featured in many magazines, including Guitare magazine, Jazz magazine and the International Herald Tribune.

Philippe Thieyre: despite his hard work as a record store/bookseller at the Parallèles bookstore, he finds time to write an Encyclopedia of American Psychedelic Rock 1966-1973 (Ed. Parallèles) which includes a long chapter on the Mothers of Invention, to submit his papers to Rock and Folk (Erudit Rock) each month and to deliver his chronicles on the waves of France Inter in the Alternatives program.
