This exhibition catalog, covering July-August-September 1970, reflects the break with tradition in the 1950s, when traditional production gave way to contemporary creation. Before Picasso’s arrival, Vallauris was already attracting artists from the École des Arts Appliqués in Paris, such as Roger Capron, Jean Derval, and Robert Picault. Picasso’s presence amplified this movement and propelled the town onto the international stage, attracting Gilbert Portanier and Roger Collet.
Condition: very good overall condition, slight wear typical of a 1970 publication (a large round stain on the cover), slightly yellowed edges, very clean interior.
