Discover this magnificent original lithograph by Guy Bardone (1927-2015), a rare post-Impressionist artist’s proof (E.A.) entitled “Extérieur,” printed at the historic Atelier Desjobert in Paris: an elegant glass vase filled with vibrant red poppies rests on a white table facing an open window revealing a tranquil turquoise lake bordered by verdant trees under a pinkish-orange sunset sky, enlivened by birds flitting through the lush garden.

This exquisitely gentle composition brilliantly combines introspection with an openness to the world, expressing the artist’s deep love for nature through vibrant flowers, luminous landscapes, and a contemplative atmosphere. The exceptional quality of the texture and the intensity of the pigments (particularly the vivid red of the flowers and the blue of the water) attest to his unique skill.

Artist’s proofs, printed in very small numbers (rarely more than 10 to 30 copies) in addition to the limited commercial edition, possess superior historical and collector’s value. Dimensions 28.34 x 21.85 inches (72 x 55.5 cm), very good condition, vibrant colors, and intact margins. A rare opportunity to acquire an authentic and poetic piece by the French master.
