Who is Henri Silberman?
An American photographer born in Paris in 1951, Henri Silberman grew up in Brooklyn, New York. He captures the cities he travels through with a poetic and often nostalgic eye. His black and white photographs highlight skyscrapers, bridges, and parks, revealing the cultural and architectural contrasts of urban life.
Some of his works have historical value, notably his views of the Brooklyn Bridge with the two towers of the now-demolished World Trade Center.
