An original, signed, and numbered lithograph by Wendy Chazin titled “Nature morte / intérieur” (Still Life / Interior), circa 1975. Measuring 29.52 x 22.04 inches (75 x 56 cm) on Arches paper, it is in excellent condition and sold unframed. This rare work blends Fauvism and Intimism, depicting a vibrant interior filled with saturated colors—a red chair with arabesques, a midnight-blue floral curtain, and a geometric window—reflecting the direct influence of Henri Matisse and the South of France.
Wendy Chazin, an American painter influenced by Matisse-style Fauvism and her stays in Provence, transforms a simple corner of a room into a colorful festival of contemplative serenity.
The empty chair draws the eye, the window structures the space without revealing the outdoors, and the decorative patterns complete the perspective, creating a poetic and comforting atmosphere. An ideal piece for collectors of modern prints and admirers of Fauvist interiors.
