Yves Alix, 1890-1969, was a French painter, engraver and writer. In 1925, he became president of the Association of Professional Painters and Engravers and, in 1928, vice-president of Young Contemporary Engraving where he rubbed shoulders with Étienne Cournault, Amédée de La Patellière, Robert Lotiron and Louis-Joseph Soulas.
