An original signed lithograph by Alain Kleinmann titled “Un parcours,” created in 1993 on Arches paper. Measuring 29.52 x 22.04 inches (75 × 56 cm), it is in very good condition given its age. This iconic work by the French artist blends crackled textures with sepia and ochre tones, in a style evocative of collage and mixed media.
At the top, a horse-drawn carriage symbolizes travel, movement, or exile—the “journey” of life and history. At the bottom, a group of figures resembles an old family photograph from the early 20th century. The layering and worn appearance create the impression of a relic from the past being rescued from oblivion.
Alain Kleinmann (born in Paris in 1953), a figure of the *Nouvelle Figuration* movement, explores his signature themes here: memory, the passage of time, family roots, and the fragility of collective remembrance—all shaped by 20th-century history and Central European Jewish culture. A rare and poetic piece, ideal for collectors of contemporary French art.
